The executives from Bangkok hospital group and BIE researchers initiated collaborative projects at the beginning of 2014. The aim of this new partnership is to develop novel medical devices, and treatments, as well as effective management of health information.
Because of the promising research outcome, the SMA orthodontic archwire developed by KMUTT’s BIE research team was commercialized and marketed under the name “Smartmat”. This is the first Thai orthodontic product currently being sold nationwide.
