Coronary Artery Disease (CAD) is caused by collection of low density lipid in blood vessel wall that can obstruct blood circulation affected to heart muscle that actives over the limitation so that the heart might be failure. The number of patients with CAD trends to be rapidly increased. The effective treatment is expanding of blood vessel using metal wire mesh called “Stent”. In the past, balloon process was used to expand the stent by air pressure but it can make many complications. Therefore, this research is focused on utilizing Nickel-Titanium shape memory alloys (SMA) to construct the self-expandable stent. In order to make this stent to be self-expandable, the superelastic property is introduced under body temperature. Expanding force affected to blood vessel wall is optimum designed in order to solve any complications. Moreover, SMA stent has excellent corrosion resistance, flexible and great biocompatibility.
