This study aims to investigate underlying mechanisms in the brain for learning ability. Through analysing the signal from simultaneous measurement of Electroencephalography (EEG) and Near-infrared Spectroscopy (NIRS) at the same locations according to the international 10/20 system, we identify the prominent brain regions and neuronal connectivity network corresponding to learning ability; the results from this study could be used for improving an effective learning/teaching method in our education system and for improving interventions for people with learning disability or other cognitive disorders.
