Biological engineering has become an integral part of the modern research that has a direct impact on human lives. This field requires a multidisciplinary branch of engineering principles to quantitatively understand problems in biological systems and to design or manufacture products that can help improve the diagnosis and therapeutic treatment. Realizing the importance and the potential of biological engineering, KMUTT’s executives initiated the biological engineering group in 2004. Its curriculum was drafted and approved in 2005.
